Carmella is spending 100% of her time with the puppies and I have had to move her food bowl closer to her bed so she can eat (see photo).  These puppies are getting the royal treatment and all ten are healthy.  I will be taking photos today so their colors can be seen.  We have lots of white collars in this litter and it looks like God picked each puppy up by it’s neck and where He touched them their fur turned white.  No two look the same… they are like brown and white snowflakes with fur.. :) 

(8:15 PM)  We are in the middle of the birthing process as I write this.. and when I mean “we” I mean Carmella is doing all the work and I am just her assistant.  As of 8:15pm Sunday night we have 3 males and 3 females.  They are beautiful and Carmella is already making sure they all know how to eat. 

(11:15pm) Update:  We ended up with 10 puppies total ~ 5 girls and 5 boys.  This photo is from the webcam which is not real good with low light but it does show carmella at 11:30pm.  I will take nice pics tomorrow.

Special thanks to the Vistors: the following friends visited today:  Wahida, Josh, Elizabeth and Katherine Hill, Matt McGarr, Robert and Trista.   The Hill Family was even nice enough to bring me some dinner since I was busy with the puppies and Carmella.  Vito also visited a few times too and sniffed some of the puppies.

Puppies Due in less than 2 days.

Carmella is doing great and Vito is taking care of his lovely Carmella as I write this entry.  The photos below say it all.  You see Vito less than 3 feet away and staying inside the house which is unusual on such a nice day.  That’s true love!  Click the photo for a larger images.

Exciting News!  Carmella is pregnant and the puppies are due at the end of April.  If you wanted to adopt one of Carmella’s puppies you may want to email me and mark your calendar to check back with this site as we get close to their birth.  For those who have emailed me I will be sending out announcements as soon as the magic moment happens.  

As most of you already know she had 11 puppies in her last litter and she already looks huge so we may have another large litter.  The photo here is from the live puppy cam and shows Carmella very relaxed and pampered in her bed.  Stay Tuned!
